William Shin Duguil

After years of dedication to Filipino Martial Arts, Sir William Shin Duguil is now a proud bearer of the Magtutudlo title in De Campo 1-2-3 Original. His journey with De Campo began long ago, having trained under a direct student of the legendary Jose Caballero. However, since 2020, Sir William has deepened his commitment to the original system, spending over two years honing the finer points and nuances of this art.

What sets Sir William apart is his relentless pursuit of knowledge and his humility in approach. Despite his extensive background in martial arts, he returned to De Campo with a beginner’s mindset, fully immersing himself in the art’s core principles. His dedication has not only been personal; Sir William has been a cornerstone for many online students, guiding and mentoring them through weekly Zoom sessions. His passion for sharing knowledge has sparked a growing community, particularly in the U.S., where he is committed to promoting De Campo further.

Sir William was tested for Magtutudlo on November 5, 2022, and demonstrated his deep understanding of the system. He presented the core techniques and principles of De Campo’s Elementary, High School, and College levels, showcasing his mastery of the original system’s nuances. With his new title, he is now fully authorized to teach the complete De Campo curriculum and promote students up to Level VII Hanas.

We are honored to congratulate Sir William on earning the title of Magtutudlo. His commitment to the legacy of Jose Caballero, his integrity as a teacher, and his relentless drive to preserve and propagate the art inspire us all. The title he carries is not just a mark of skill, but a testament to his dedication and understanding of De Campo.

For those starting out in De Campo, Sir William’s upcoming seminars offer the perfect gateway into this powerful Filipino Martial Art. His structured, beginner-friendly approach allows students to quickly grasp the core principles, setting them on the path to success. Whether through his online sessions, exclusive videos, or his in-depth lessons on concepts like half-strikes, Sir William brings clarity and passion to each teaching opportunity.

As he leads future generations into the art, we are confident that Lolo Jose Caballero’s legacy is in good hands. The honor is ours to witness this journey, and we look forward to Sir William continuing to expand De Campo’s reach across the globe.

Congratulations to Magtutudlo William Shin Duguil. Your efforts have not only preserved this art but are pushing it into new territories. The journey is far from over, and we are excited to see the impact you will continue to make.

Pugay!
